Time Is Just Flying!

Hey all!!

I tell ya, the time is just flying!!
Y'all ever feel like there's too much to do and not enough time? I feel like that often.
Last Thursday, I sang "Yeah Right" and "Me and You" from my anticipated EP "Part One: What Kind of Love" for the Hot 91 Business Mixer. Also, last Friday, I sang for BETs Black College Tour. Both experiences were great and I look forward to doing more gigs.
I want to take a moment to encourage you. I had a really rough day yesterday. This morning I listened to "Thankful" on replay. It is amazing how you can write something and not know how much it means to you until years later- that is what happened to me. I found that the words ministered to my soul and I was reminded that no matter what circumstances may come, giving God the glory is essential. He loves us more than we could ever imagine and if we follow Him we will be blessed. I hope "Thankful" helps you out too; whatever your situation may be.
Some more exciting news- I wrote four new songs within the past couple days: "Out of This World," "Don't Have to Cry," "Say Oh," "Check" and "Epiphany." Be looking out for those on my next project!!!

As always, I thank you so much for the love and support!!

What's up everyone?

Hey Everyone,

Hope you are well.
Lately I have been extremely frustrated with the way people handle business. I've been recognizing a negative trend of disappointment in people as far as not keeping their word and hearing people talk but not produce substance. It has been an emotional roller coaster for me but I am realizing that everything is a learning experience. I think Aaliyah said it best when she said "when if at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again..."
I am also going through a huge transitional phase right now. I am definitely moving into a new season. Sometimes it's hard for us as humans because we often want to go back to what is old because it is comfortable and we are afraid of the new possibilities. I am embracing what I want for me and not what other's expect from me and am I moving forward from here. For those of you who are afraid to take that next step in your life, I encourage you to do you because you can't please EVERYBODY and you will have built-up resentment if you don't follow YOUR dream.
Besides that, I am SUPER excited to get into the studio this weekend Saturday and Sunday!!! My fellow artist out there know that unexplainable joy you get from the studio atmosphere; shout out to you!! Be looking out for this EP soon yall!!

As always,

Thank you much for supporting me.

My First blog

Hey everyone,

I must say that after this past week I have a renewed sense of motivation. There were a series of events that led up to this fresh mindset, making me want to work harder in general; more specifically on my music. One thing I am learning very quickly is: having patience is one thing, but when you're dealing with business there are things that need done in a timely manner. You can't sit around and think that your craft will work on itself, you have to be diligent and work towards greatness. No one should ever be more excited about your passion than you are; otherwise it wouldn't be a passion; a hobby perhaps. Anyway, I just wanted to share some things with you that I am learning and hope that you can pull something positive from it and be inspired. As always, thank you for your love and support.

Smiles and Hugs ♥♥
